The Gamewell Company has manufactured several different size Boxes over the years. While the "full size" Box design has remained virtually unchanged in height, width and depth since the 1880's in both cast iron and aluminum, other designs and models have been produced which differ radically in their dimensions from the full size line.

These Boxes are generally smaller in design, the two most popular of which are the older Excelsior Box and the more modern Vitaguard Box.

The Excelsior Box was manufactured around the turn of the century. Gamewell literature documents this Box in production from 1900 through 1905. It is roughly two/thrids the height of the standard Gamewell Box and is most easily recognized by its curved roof as opposed to the familiar peaked or pitched roof on nearly all other Gamewell Boxes.

Another Box Gamewell produced which was popular among small communities as well as many industrial installations was the Aluminum Vitaguard model. It is most easily recognized as being a smaller near "carbon-copy" of the full size Alarm Box.

Few large municipalities ever installed the Vitaguard Box as a part of their central system. Most communities which utilized this model of Boxes were comprised of small volunteer fire departments.

Boxes of the Excelsior and Vitaguard type require a modified FIRE Sticker which we are happy to offer. It is printed in Red on White reflective material and installs just as easily as our full size line. Because of the modifications we have engineered in regards to the lettering for this sticker, it is legible from a distance while remaining proportionally responsible to the overall asthetic appearance of the Box.

FireStickers.net is likely the only supplier which maintains an inventory of this size sticker in stock and readily available. Contact us today for details and order information!
